“Booked a Sunday roast for 2, living locally we booked an hour in advance and arrived to a warm welcome. This is the first time they had done a Sunday roast for a while, we shared a baba ganoush starter and it was light, creamy and absolutely delicious. We both ordered the beef roast and the plate was almost overflowing with food, the beef was slightly pink and melted in your mouth, the cauliflower cheese was creamy and cheesy and delicious, all of the components of the meal complemented each other. Next we shared a sticky toffee pudding, it was light and spongey, the sauce was full of flavour complemented by the mint garnish and excellent ice cream. Ps. The Guinness that we had with it was absolutely spot on. Would highly recommend to anyone passing by, well done to the rose and crown and good to see Sunday lunch back and booming.”

We’re thrilled to welcome Chef Christopher Lacroix back to The Roser after his fabulous appearance with us last year. If you joined us then, you’ll know exactly why we’re so excited to have him back in the kitchen — and if you didn’t, this is your moment.
Christopher will be serving an elegant four-course menu, showcasing beautifully balanced flavours and classic technique with a modern edge:
Butternut squash velouté
Black Angus beef fillet with soya and pickled mushrooms
Cured salmon linguini with lemon, crab and cognac sauce
Pear tart with amandine custard, flambéed Cointreau
